A Tribute to Clarence Clemons, Dead at age 69

This Jersey girl will surely miss the jazz and spunk that the iconic Clarence Clemons brought to stage when he performed with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and also during his very popular independent career in which he collaborated with countless musical talents.  Sadly, Clarence passed away this weekend at the age of 69 after suffering a massive stroke.

His musical career spanned four decades with his most recent live performance airing on American Idol with Lady Gaga.  Springsteen credits Clemons as being a partner in his brand of musical storytelling and stated in the introduction of Clemons’ book Big Man: Real Life and Tall Tales, “The story I have told throughout my work life I could not have told as well without Clarence.”

RIP Clarence, your contribution to music will be sorely missed.
