For Kristy:
The woman I call Sister is known my many names.
Kristy, KC, Kritter and even Sisterface.
But no matter what you call her,
This one true fact remains-
She is the first who brought me joy
With a smile always upon her face
She made this ticking clock of life
Seem like less of a stupid, pointless race.
She helped me know that child’s play
Is as warm as an embrace.
She talks to me and understands
When sometimes I’ve lost my place.
As a child it was hugs and laughter
that filled my everyday day
And even though we’re all grown up,
We still laugh and play
It’s made all the difference,
Calling her my heart
Kristy is the sister
the one and only Sister
That I needed from the start.
