L is for Love (A Serial Killer Story)

Scarlett: Part VI

She wandered around Jackson Square for about an hour before she decided she was hungry enough to eat. She never really ate much so she decided on the al a carte evening menu from the Court of Two Sisters. It was an unseasonably warm February evening and they had the patio open so Scarlett took her normal table by the fountain. She ordered a catfish poyboy and a glass of Merlot. While she was waiting for her food, Flow showed up. She took a seat startling Scarlett. For being such a huge woman, Flow was stealthy. She put down her book and smiled. This was a pleasant surprise.
“I’ve already spoken to Audrianna” Scarlett wanted Flow to know right away to eliminate and need to try and tell her again. Public conversations were easily overheard, even if their code was flawless, it was still dangerous. Flow smiled and nodded. She ordered herself a glass of absinthe for the both of them. Scarlett tried to decline but Flow insisted and you didn’t reject Flow more than once. The drinks came and then Flow looked suddenly very serious. Read the rest of this entry »

Viktor: Part VI

Even though it was the second time he had seen her, he had still never seen anything like her. She looked like an angel even the dark. Viktor had seen no one he found worth noticing but was stunned to see his red headed goddess across the street when he left the Dungeon. He could tell she was drunk from the way she swayed down the street and was compelled to follow her again. He was delighted to see that she turned around and saw him staring, but he moved into a shadow hoping she didn’t really get a good look; she must not be as drunk as she seemed. Something inside Viktor told him it was intentional, but he couldn’t figure out why so he dismissed it.
“At least she somewhat noticed me.” He thought as he quietly continued to follow her. He slipped on to Bourbon Street and followed her from the shadows. Apparently he wasn’t that worth noticing for she didn’t look at him again as him as he followed. He followed her until she got to St. Phillips and turned the corner. He knew it would be foolish to follow her all the way home again. He needed to find her again and begin his long practiced art of remaining unnoticed while he learned all he could about his red haired temptress. He contemplated whether or not she would be able to recognize him again but he decided that it would be unlikely, so he forgot the notion quickly. He wandered back to St. Louis Cemetery which was now his home and fell asleep as the sun rose dreaming of his new love and hoped that she would not end up like the rest. L is for Love (A Serial Killer Story)

Cassie: Part V

Cassie spent weeks brooding all the while trying to think of a plan to introduce herself to and enthrall the object of her affection. She had shadowed him on a few occasions after he left the Dungeon. It seemed to be where he spent most of his time, which was a bad omen for Cassie. Evey still worked there and for all Cassie knew, still suspected her of killing Elijah. Minus the last time, it had been quite some time since she has set foot in the Dungeon and she figured it would be better to revisit the establishment after she was on his arm. She would deal with Evey later if she became a nuisance. First she decided that she would run into him one evening before he reached the Dungeon. She was hoping to convince him to join her for drinks at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop. She chose her location because it was out of the way of the Dungeon and Aunt Tiki’s. She couldn’t have Aphrodite ruining her plans. For now she had to concentrate on her intriguing stranger. At five on Friday she dressed and went to look for him.

Scarlett: Part V

Despite the war that was supposed to be brewing, everything was eerily calm in New Orleans. Scarlett had no real intentions of battling with Cassie; it just wasn’t fair. Although, she was prepared to fight back if provoked, Cassie had yet to make a move. In fact she hadn’t even seen Cassie around at all. Normally she would have been worried about such a fact but because of her lack of confidence in Cassie’s skills, she was hardly bothered. After conversing with Dave about the subject, Scarlett had decided to lay low for a while. For the sole sake that Cassie threatened to reveal her, she refrained from adding any suspicion her way. She worked and kept to Aunt Tiki’s day after day. It wasn’t until she noticed she had another stalker that she began to move her pawns on the board.      Read the rest of this entry »

Cassie: Part IV

Cassie was starting to get worried. She had waged war with a much stronger opponent but had still yet to see any foreboding actions on Aphrodite’s end. In fact, Cassie had hardly even seen her, minus through the window at Aunt Tiki’s. It had been stupid to challenge the red head without more information but it was a mistake she had to live with. She didn’t even know her name. All she knew was that Aphrodite was a murderer, and a better one at that.       Read the rest of this entry »

L is for Love (A Serial Killer Story)

Viktor: Part V

It was a dream come true, haunted hotels, haunted mansions, bars called the Dungeon, Aunt Tiki’s, and the Whirling Dervish, mask and bondage shops, and a multitude of graveyards.
He wandered down Toulouse Street until he came to the Dungeon. It was a raunchy little place from the outside that had two entrances, one to the club and one to the bar on the street. Viktor passed through the hanging rubber slabs into the bar on the street; he wasn’t much of a club goer so just a drink or two would suffice. He entered into a rather small and loud room. It wasn’t too dark but nor was it very well lit either. The bar ran along the right hand wall, a pool table resided in the middle of the room, and a huge projection screen hung from the ceiling at the far end of the bar. There was a movie playing, with no sound to be heard over the stomping industrial music and no subtitles, with what appeared to be zombie sheep attacking people. He took a seat at the bar and ordered a Jack and Coke.
“What is that?” Viktor asked the bar tender loudly while pointing at the screen. She was a young very awkwardly attractive girl. She had chestnut hair with streaks of black, that were obviously dyed, and piercing mahogany eyes. They were so dark they almost looked black until the light caught them.
“Zombie sheep from New Zealand.

Scarlett: Part IV

It was Scarlett’s favorite day of the year. The only day that she could accumulate at least five kills. She could pull off three, maybe four on a good day depending on the situation, but considering the amount of tourists on Bourbon, she was shooting for seven. Every Halloween Scarlett dressed enough to be distinctly intriguing yet still conspicuous. This year she dressed in an emerald green form fitting toga dress she ordered off the internet. She knew she would run into Dave sometime tonight and that he would get a kick out of it. Besides, what better disguise could a predator ask for than one that demands the comfort of men, the Goddess of Love.  Read the rest of this entry »

Cassie: Part III

Usually tonight was Cassie’s Christmas, but this year it was a true nightmare. In the two years she had lived in New Orleans, she had never had competition. In fact she wasn’t quite sure how she had known it when she saw her, but she just did. It had been nothing short of instinctual, like watching one predator encroach on the other’s territory. The only problem was that her completion was older and presumably more experienced than she was. It was Darwin’s theory in motion and she was struggling to survive.
It had been a month since she last hunted. With the introduction of another beautiful killer, her life was filled with an entirely new fear. Her story about Elijah had convinced the police, but not Evey. Unfortunately that meant that Cassie had to avoid the Dungeon every night that Evey worked, which was five nights a week. She was getting anxious and twitchy. She needed to kill.      Read the rest of this entry »

Viktor: Part IV

Faster than he would have anticipated, Viktor was in New Orleans. He had hitched a ride with a rather beautiful woman trucker in El Paso. He still couldn’t figure out what she was doing driving a truck and every time he tried to bring it up she would get silent. She took him all the way to the French Quarter in New Orleans where she was dropping off her cargo for a ferry to carry across the Mississippi where another trucker from her company would pick it up and transport it the rest of the way to its destination in Boston. Viktor hadn’t cared to know any of this information but after she powdered her nose a few times, she would babble on and on until Viktor had to pretend to fall asleep to get her to stop talking, and even then she would sing loudly with the radio. After she finished checking in she requested that they go out to dinner, even though they had dined together many nights before. They had a “magical” night; they ate at the house of blues and then wandered up and down the French Quarter having a beer here and a shot there. Even though she was beginning to get on his nerves, Viktor was a gentleman and decided on waiting until after he had walked her back to her truck before he ventured on. It was when he walked her back to her rig that she began to try his patience. She was practically begging him to take her. She was holding her body up against his and rubbing his inner thigh and lower back, biting his shoulders and gently pulling his hair, and after many answers of “no”, he finally gave in.

“Poor thing,” He thought shrugging as they crawled into the cab and back into the bed. She had no idea that she just seduced death.

After a night of ravenous passion, Viktor claimed his first victim since Albuquerque. While she climaxed he softly inserted Read the rest of this entry »
